I just bought this phone and answering system a couple of days ago and had just set it up. I called again and immediately transferred the call to the second handset only to be disconnected after 1 minute. In the first 55 seconds of my first call it sounded great, and then I pressed the speakerphone button and it hung up. I called back and without using the speakerphone, the call was disconnected at 55 seconds (right next to the base station). I then tested the number that I called with my old phone and my cell phone and I had no problems. Needless to say I will be returning this phone and answering system ASAP.
The static is so bad that I had to hang up during a conference call for work the other day. The static is so bad on these phones, that they only work in the living room of my house. I bought these phones about a year ago, and I'm sorry I didn't stick with my original gut feeling to return them. My boss even highly recommended that I needed to buy new phones. I have the three phone model, and the three phones only work in the living room - even the ones located in the bedrooms will only work in the living room. If I walk into another room with any of these phones, the person I'm speaking to will tell me they can't hear me at all. You would get better quality and reception by tying a string to two tin cans, and it would cost less than these phones did. Do not buy.
I have had friends who have chosen other makes, but have always had problems. I have chosen Uniden cordless phone system for years. The product never let's me down. So, when I hear this I say " choose Uniden and you'll never make a mistake twice".My newest Uniden cordless phone system works like a dream, and as I expected. Bad assumption. I've never had a phone that couldn't read the called ID info before, and my disappoint when down from there with this alleged "phone". I actually bought three sets when Target had them on sale at christmas, thinking it would be nice to have interchangeable handsets. They are incompatible with each other. Read the other reviews too, and don't waste your money on this phone.
Stay clear of these phones. Don't waste your money. I hardly have talked on the phone since I have purchased them. There is ALOT of interference on them.sounds like you're talking in a wind tunnel. I'm sticking with Panasonic. There is a reason why these phones are so cheap.Trust me, DON'T BUY THESE.
